OUR PROGRAMS:
Our Programs are designed to help children develop socially, physically, academically and spiritually.
MOMMY AND ME: Step By Step’s Mommy and Me program is for those children not yet ready for an independent program. The goal of this program is to foster relationships between your child and other children, and to give you an opportunity to share parenting ideas and concerns with other parents.
The curriculum includes age appropriate materials, song/free movement, story time, sensory stimulation materials and activities, and a time of social interaction for both parent and child. Classes are held in our temperature controlled gymnasium and access to our outdoor playground is available.
BABY STEPS: An Independent Program for Two-Year-Olds
This program is designed to expose your child to materials and activities that will encourage and aid in their all-around growth. We provide age appropriate fine motor manipulatives, sand and water play, painting, arts and crafts, story time using flannel board, and music and movement. We seek to aid you and your child in the separation process, making it a gentle transition for both. The child/teacher ratio in this class is 8:2, allowing for individual attention to all.
THREE-YEAR-OLD AND FOUR-YEAR-OLD PRE-K PROGRAMS:
Our pre-k programs include free-play, basic mathematics, science, phonics, social studies, reading and writing readiness activities and the use of manipulatives. Integrated into the basic programs are music, literature, arts and crafts, language and Bible stories.
Each classroom is equipped with easels, chalk board, sand/water table, is large and sunny, carpeted, and has its own bathroom
Our facility has an indoor, carpeted gymnasium equipped for recreation on days of inclement weather. We also have a large, professional kitchen for cooking and baking activities. We have a fenced, outdoor playground that provides opportunities for running, climbing, swinging, digging and creative play. |
